Pardes (1997)

'Pardes' is a thought-provoking and socially relevant tale that delves into the fundamental differences between eastern Indian culture and belief system versus the Western ideology adopted by countries like the United States of America. Kishorilal, a billionaire American NRI, deputes his nephew Arjun (Shah Rukh Khan) to choose an appropriate Indian bride for his American-Indian son Rajiv (Apoorva Agnihotri). Ganga (Mahima Choudhary), the beautiful daughter of Krishorilal’s old friend is chosen as the bride-to-be.
