A magical and evocative journey marking Hundred years of Hindi cinema, this anthology brings together four distinct short stories. Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh – A bold contemporary drama about the trials and travails of being a gay man in India. Star – Adapted from Satyajit Ray's short story "Patol Babu, Film Star", this movie delves into the efforts of a failed actor to prove himself to the world, and his daughter. Sheila Ki Jawaani – An inspiring and thought-provoking drama that revolves around a 12-year-old boy who aspires to become a Bollywood dancer, against the wishes of his father, who wants him to be a football player. Murabba (Fruit Preserve) – A young man from a small town, Vijay attempts to meet Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, a superstar of Indian cinema. His aim is to fulfil his ailing father's desire of feeding the great actor feed him homemade 'murabba' and bring the remaining half for his father. Vijay's father believes that doing so will bring comfort to him and in turn lengthen his life. This evocative drama depicts his struggles, while highlighting the need for something magical to sustain the human spirit, illusory as it may be.
