A earnest nurse is being hired to care for a young boy who is isolated from the outside world and has fallen mysteriously silent since the mysterious death of his mother. During her period of care for the grief-stricken child she begins to hear mysterious voices and a presence that overlooks the child from a particular stone in the household.
