Evocative and provocative, this socially relevant saga revolves around Veerasamy (T. Rajendar), an honest politician who has earned the trust of the public and become a member of the legislative assembly (MLA).
Trouble erupts in his personal life, when his sister falls in love with a young man from a disreputable family. Meanwhile, a sincere neighbor Sarasu (Mumtaj) falls deeply in love with Veerasamy. He's forced to juggle his family's conflicts, while trying to contest the elections in order to retain his position as an MLA.
Due to some false witnesses, Veerasamy is found guilty of involvement in corruption. On hearing this, he dies of a heart attack. When he dies, Sarasu is unable to bear the loss and also passes away from the shock.
