The Sweet Hereafter (1997)

After a tragedy in the town of Canada, a big-city lawyer, driven by his own demons, arrives to help the survivors and victims families, but his efforts pushes the townspeople further apart. In this suspicion situation, a teenager reckon with the loss of innocence brought about by a different kind of damage. With her courage the townspeople reunites with peace.
