This contemporary movie is based on "The Suspects Wore Louboutins" by Nancy Jo Sales and delves into the perverse mindset of celebrity-crazy youngsters brought up in the Paparazzi infested reality TV generation.
It revolves around a clique of fashion-obsessed teenagers, Rebecca (the ringleader), Marc, Nicki, Sam and Chloe, known as The Bling Ring, who use the Internet's social media websites and mapping technology to track their favorite celebrities in order to safely burglarize their homes. In reality, the group stole more than $3 million dollars worth of high-end possessions from designer labels like Chanel, Gucci, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Cartier and Tiffany before getting caught by the authorities.
Paris Hilton, who was a victim during the actual Bling Ring robberies not only allowed cameras to film in her own home, but has also played a cameo in the movie along with other celebrities.
