Prof Saxena (Sanjeev Kumar) and Dr Gupta (Parishit Sahni) are friends living at Los Angeles (USA). Prof Saxena is married while Dr Gupta is unmarried and going to Bombay (India) to select a girl to marry. In india Dr Gupta selects Sunita (Shabana Azmi) gets married her and leaves for USA. After clearance of visa sunita flies to Los Angeles. In the flight, another Indian bride carries cocaine and plants it in the vanity box of sunita. Sunita gets kidnapped at New York airport.
