This socially relevant drama delves into the life of Yusuf, a man belonging to a religious Muslim family. He is married to Selma, a beautiful and loving woman. Yusuf's father is a kind man who has great faith in God, and he encourages his son to never forget the power of prayer.
Yusuf's childhood friend Nadhir, visits from London with a wife and child in hand, but he has become extremely materialistic and is only interested in his father's money. Nadhir and his wife are very westernised and indulge in a luxurious lifestyle. They have no faith in God and wish to break all traditions.
Although Yusuf and Selma are deeply in love with each other, they are unable to have children. Yusuf and his family are desperate to have an heir and are deeply disturbed when the doctor tells them that Selma will never be able to have children due to a congenital condition.
Nadhir immediately advises Yusuf to enter into a second marriage. Under Nadhir's guidance, Yusuf appoints Shabana as his secretary. He is slowly brainwashed by Nadhir into forgetting about moral values and faith in God.
With God's blessing, Selma becomes pregnant and has a son, Anwar. However, Yusuf becomes more and more intoxicated by wealth and Nadhir's ideas and goes to the extent of throwing his own parents out of the house. With the whole family in chaos and conflict, how will the future unfold for them? Will Yusuf ever realise the error of his ways?
