Miscellaneous
When Dr. Dre is shown shifting gears in the Ferrari Testarossa, the shifter is not from a Ferrari. The shifter on a Testarossa is much longer and thin with a ball-type knob.

Continuity
When Eazy-E is confronting Jerry at the kitchen table, the original theatrical release contains an editing error. Jerry says "I always had your back" and Eazy-E replies. The exact same dialog is repeated word for word about six seconds later.

Errors in Geography
The group run outside when unrest breaks out in what is supposed to be Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The bridge and crown of the venue are obvious to SoCal natives as being that of the Los Angeles Sports Arena.

Factual Mistake
The doctor told Eazy-E that he was HIV positive, when he really had what was once known as "full blown AIDS" when it was discovered, which is why, combined with his other ailments, he died within weeks of the discovery.

Factual Mistake
During a scene at Death Row Records, Dr. Dre enters the studio to play "California Love" instrumental for 2pac. Pac is laying vocals for "Hail Mary" released in 97' yet Cali. Love was recorded in 95'.
Trivia:
Director F. Gary Gray directed the real Ice Cube in Friday (1995).

Michael B. Jordan was considered to play Dr. Dre but declined due to scheduling conflicts

F. Gary Gray's first directorial effort in 6 years. His last project was Law Abiding Citizen (2009).

In order to fulfill the physical appearance, Jason Mitchell had to consume 4,000 calories a day.

Night club and studio runner Lonzo is Alonzo Williams, who along with Dr. Dre and DJ Yella were in the group World Class Wreckin' Cru, famous for the song "Turn Off The Lights" (featuring an early appearance of singer Michel'le) and for wearing lace gloves à la many 80s R&B acts.

All of the Ruthless Records songs which Eazy-E produced are owned by his widow Tomika Wright.

O'Shea Jackson Jr. is portraying his father in this film, his screen debut.

O'Shea Jackson Jr. prepared for 2 years to portray the role of his father, partially because Ice Cube didn't want the appearance of nepotism in casting.

The real Jerry Heller vehemently objected to his portrayal in the film.

F. Gary Gray also directed the video to Ice Cube's most famous song "It Was a Good Day"

The infamous 1992 Los Angeles riots AKA (Rodney King riots) are in this film.

Ice Cube isn't actually from Compton he is from Baldwin Hills.
