Salma pe dil aa gaya is the story of two lovers from different castes falling in love with each other much to the chagrin of their families. The families fuel a war to separate the two lovers, who decide to elope and live a peaceful life together. They get chased by their own people, while they seek the protection and shelter of Shah Sahab, who believes in brotherhood and love. Shah Sahab helps and saves them, ensuring that they live happily together.
