Pingami (1994)

Embedded with mystery and suspense, this crime thriller follows the twists and turns in the life of Captain Vijay (Mohanlal), an army captain who is on his annual leave and has come to stay with his maternal uncle who raised him and his sister after the untimely death of their parents. In a twist of fate, Vijay becomes a witness to a tragic accident, when he finds Kumaran (Thilakan) in an injured state crying out for help. He takes Kumaran to a hospital but fails to save his life. There develops a strong bond between Kumaran and Vijay which pulls him into investigating into the accident and learning that it was actually premeditated murder. With the help of his friend Kutti Hassan (Jagathy) he starts on a trail to unravel the mystery behind the murder and in the midst finding out the missing links of his own life. How are these two men who had never seen each other before the tragic event connected? Will Vijay succeed in finding all the answers and exact revenge upon those responsible for Kumaran's death?
