With splashes of humour, this evocative relationship drama delves into the trials and triumphs in the life of Prakash, a very loving but short tempered young man, who is married to Sumitra, a bank employee.
One and a half years after their marriage, Prakash decides that they must have a second honeymoon and travel to Ooty on holiday, but his wife Sumitra receives notice that she has been promoted as an officer, and transferred to Ernakulam.
Being very practical, she shoves aside his vociferous objections and relocates to Ernakulam, while he stays at home, alone, lonely and increasingly resentful.
On an assignment, Prakash is asked to take charge of filming a documentary about a renowned classical musician. While the musician refuses to be the subject of any documentary, Prakash slowly develops a friendship with the musician's daughter, Krishna.
When the musician requests Prakash on his death bed, to marry Krishna and ensure her safety and happiness, will he agree? How will he explain his relationship with Krishna to Sumitra? Can both the women come to terms with his betrayal?
