Hema is a beautiful young woman from a wealthy background, who loves the game of tennis. Balu is the reigning champion, so she becomes his ardent fan. Although he is from a middle-class background, he rejects her offer to pay him to teach her tennis and insults her for being arrogant about her wealth. She becomes few days with him and decides to get him under her control.
Balu's elder brother Sitaram is a hard-working and sincere lawyer, who wishes that Balu would concentrate on academic pursuits, instead of tennis. Sitaram's wife Janaki is a lecturer in the same college Balu studies in.
Hema's father is Markandeyalu, one of the wealthiest men in the area, but a corrupt businessman, who believes in making profits through cheating, exploitation and adulteration. Subbarao, a small businessman, who is oppressed by Markandeyalu seeks justice through the system of law, and hires Sitaram to be his lawyer. Sitaram fights hard and wins the case, but earns Markandeyalu's enmity.
A jealous man spread its terrible rumours about Balu and Hema spending a night alone in a cave. Balu and Hema fall in love, but will their love be strong enough to overcome Markandeyalu's hatred and wrath?
