Koteeshwar is a clever man with great ambitions, He is jealous of the patriarch and cunningly tries to usurp his power as the head of the village panchayat. When the patriarch himself permits him to take over the position, he misuses it and engages in many corrupt practices.

The patriarch's elder son is in love with Durga, a beautiful woman from a lower socio-economic strata. When the patriarch fixes his son's wedding without his permission, he refuses to marry and there is a tremendous conflict, causing father and son to completely cut off ties with each other.

The patriarch's younger son, Gopal is a medical student, who is in love with Koteeshwar's daughter, Satya. Consequently Koteeshwar keeps interfering in the family's harmony and creates more conflict amongst them. Will Koteeshwar's cunning machination be exposed? Will the family reunite once more?
