Manirathanam touched the love genre after 14 years (alaipayuthey). at that time i cant understand the feeling of love, but now i watched OKK with my wife and enjoyed a lot by his making.
the major things to be reviewed
1. PC.Sriram's camera - awesome, the man who always shoot the scene in natural light
2. Mani's Dialogues. the romantic dialogues by dulkar and nithya.
3. dulkar and nithyas performance is awwwwwwwwwesome
4.Rehman's music- he serves to mani specially
5. prakash raj and his spouse performance is sooooooo good

Although it's a good romance movie, I would personally slaughter people who say "live-in relationships is the new thing" Breaking news - live in relationships are in fact a very old thing, I believe it was news when the great padmashree Kamal Hasan and Sarita moved in with each other in the 90's.
And the repetition, what's with the repetition of the scenes? The bus(ayudha ezhithu), the train(A.E, alaipayudhe), the cliched mirror scene(Meera jasmine and Maddy from A.E) It feels like they've used their own work as references and hoped that the dumb audience wouldn't notice. Mistake me not, it's not a bad story or bad direction or a bad screenplay, but it kills me to see someone as great as Mani Rathnam stooping down to the level of Gautam Menon just to show that he can do better romance movies than G.M
Dulqur and Nithya had played their part aptly, in fact all the actors have. Except the guy who kept calling everyone "buddy". Intervention happening here - the only people who call each other "buddy" are the people in KFC and that too, because they're paid to do so!
We have seen it all, we've seen all the permutations and combinations of romance stories in India. Whatever happened to the director who made movies like Kannathil Mutham ittal, Iruvar, Etc. Find that guy and bring him back, that guy was a legend!
