Rajendra Babu is an illiterate and arrogant man, but he's also the all-powerful king of the region. Even his mother is unable to control and direct his violent, tyrannical ways.

Rupa is the daughter of Rajendra Babu's uncle. It is the family's wish that Rupa and Rajendra Babu get married to each other. However, in order to make Rajendra Babu more civilised and eligible for marriage, Rupa's parents send over their employee, Padma.

Padma is intelligent, well-educated and courageous. Fearlessly, she faces off against the aggressive Rajendra Babu and is never over-awed by his power, status or wealth. Slowly, but surely, she moulds Rajendra Babu through many ego battles and transforms him into a better person.

However, when the family decides that it is time for Rajendra Babu and Rupa to get married, he refuses. His wish is to wed Padma, causing her to be accused of treachery by the elders of the family. What will the future hold in store for Padma and Rajendra Babu?
