Nandhi Varman (2023)

A thousand years ago, Gora and his cohorts arrive at the Anumanthapuram village, a part of Gingee ruled by the Pallava king Nandivarman, to loot the gold treasure in the temple of Aanumantheeshwarar. King Nandivarman dies at the hands of Gora while fighting to stop Gora and his allies from looting the temple treasure of Aanumantheeshwarar. After the death of King Nandivarman, nature rages and the temple of Aanumanth- eeshwarar is also buried in the soil. Gora and his companions are caught in a natural fury and buried in the ground to death. Even today, if anyone goes to the Anumanthapuram hill, where the temple is buried, they will be killed by the spirit of Gora, which is why the villagers refuse to leave their homes after six o'clock. Madras University Archaeology Department Professor Bose and his students travel to the village of Anuman- thapuram to research the temple of Anumantheeshwarar and the history of the Pallava king Nandivarman, who died a thousand years ago. Villagers stop Bose and his team saying that the excavation will cause untold calamities in Anumantha- puram village. But Bose and his team begin the excavation under the protection of Gingee police sub-inspector Guruvar- man. After the archaeologists started the archaeological research in the village of Anumanthapuram, the subsequent deaths happened in a paranormal manner. At the end what is the conclusion of the story? Is the spirit of Gora who died a thousand years ago really resides in Anumanthapuram? Did Gingee Sub Inspector Guruvaruman uncover the mystery behind the serial murders by using the medical autopsies of the supernatural dead in Anumanthapuram?
