A nameless young man embarks on a crusade of retribution against the corrupt rulers responsible for his mother's murder and the ongoing oppression of the vulnerable and impoverished.

During the filming of the movie, Dev Patel sustained multiple injuries, including a broken hand, two broken toes, a torn shoulder, and an eye infection.
