Lost Innocents of Kashmir (2011)

Where did you watch this movie?

Modern Kashmir in Northern India began slipping into a state of terror from about 1989, when this beautiful Super 8 raw material was recorded. Twenty years on, the story in the filmed material is narrated from memory by the filmmaker, who verified the facts with India's top Kashmir born journalist: 'yes I know that story'. No pictures were taken of the military response to civil unrest, imagined or real, terrorist or innocent. Instead, narration provides the imagery for the brutal way agitators work at creating a police state.
