Trivia:
Many team members left the movie within some days of practice not believing that it is possible that normal students who never saw a film set before can actually make a feature film. The casting was changed again and again as no-one took Lastbenchers seriously that it will be made.

The movie is based on true incidents in the life of prajakt rebeloma. Nearly 70 percent of the scenes are based on true events.

Prajakt Rebeloma had a metal plate and eight screws in his left leg because of accident. But he refused to take help of others to walk and used to crawl to washroom carryning one book in right hand to save time for learning.

All the songs of lastbenchers movie were written within 10 minutes. The song 'Old Days' and 'Branded Chaddi' was written by prajakt rebeloma while on a bike waiting on traffic signal while visiting Music Director Bhupesh Sawai. The title song was written by Prajakt Rebeloma and Mani Biswas on the very first day they decided to make a movie.

On 9 Feb 2012, the auditions were held for some roles, and On 18th feb 2012, team of newcomers were formed to begin shooting on 22nd May 2012. Sanket galactus and Prajakt Rebeloma started learning filmmaking on internet on 20th feb and within two months they studied 20 hrs everyday to first learn and then teach their team what they learned.

Sanket Galactus is the colorist, Main cinematographer of Lastbenchers movie and also appearing in a comic role. Before Lastbenchers he was a college student who scored zero in accounts. He never saw a dslr camera in his life before being hired as cinematographer.

Even though Prajakt Rebeloma is the director, actor, writer, editor, adr editor, costumes head of Lastbenchers, he never made a single minute short film before. Lastbenchers is truly debut. He never wrote a single page story before lastbenchers and the first story he ever wrote in his life was lastbenchers. He completed it within 15 days while on bed-rest after returning from hospital after hit by a car walking down the road which broke his left leg.

Sanket Galactus is the main cinematographer of Lastbenchers movie but he trained everyone in team and also gave them chance to take important shots of movie.
