Evocative and provocative, this socially relevant saga traces the twists and turns in the life of Krishna (Ravi Teja), a fearless and forthright young software engineer. He is gainfully employed, but decides to quit his job so that his friend may take his place, and remains unemployed in the city of Vijayawada.
Sandhya (Trisha Krishnan) is a beautiful college student from Hyderabad, who comes to Vijayawada for her vacation. She stays with her elder brother Bobby (Brahmanandam) and his wife. Krishna falls in love with Sandhya at first sight and starts pursuing her to win her heart.
Desiring to get as close to her as possible, Krishna rents the upper portion of Sandhya's house as tenants with his brother (Chandra Mohan) and sister in law (Sudha). In the new neighbourhood, Krishna clashes against the illegal and immoral activities of Lanka Raju (Kadhal Dhandapani), a local goon.
As a result, Sandhya develops a bad opinion of his character and thinks of him as just another roadside wastrel, who often gets into violent confrontations. Later, she learns of his true nature and develops a soft corner for him, but is forced to return to Hyderabad, where she lives with a protective elder brother, who is also a powerful goon.
Krishna follows Sandhya to Hyderabad and works his way into their house with the help of Bobby and finally both of them confess their love. It is at this critical juncture that Sandhya's past struggles are revealed to him. She had become targeted by Jagga (Mukul Dev) a notorious and cruel criminal with a predatory interest in Sandhya. Assisted and encouraged by his uncle and their army of goons, Jagga tries to marry Sandhya by force. Can Krishna defeat Jagga and join with Sandhya in the holy bond of matrimony?
