Shot against the scenic backdrop of rural Kerala, 'KQ' is a romantic comedy that depicts the tale of two hard working friends, who live in the rural area of Mattancherry. Bensin (Baiju Johnson) is a Muslim youth from Mattancherry who willingly endures hard labor for the sake of a livelihood. Roshen is his best friend who originally comes from Gujarat.
Bensin works at his uncle's handicraft shop. Roshen is happy doing odd jobs of any kind to earn him decent daily wages. They labour hard in the days, but unwind each night by drinking away their daily earnings. Thus, along with Bensin's uncle, they celebrate their life fully.
It is at this time a beautiful girl Sunaina (Parvathy Omanakkuttan) enters their life. She is a reporter from the London Times and has traveled there to write an article about Mattancherry. Serendipitously she ends up spending a day at Bensin and Roshen's place. The eventful moments that follow is plotted in 'KQ'
