Embedded with fiery action and charged emotion, this intense revenge drama revolves around Shivan, a fearless man who is involved in illegal gambling and betting. His best friend is Chellan, a local gangster who is more like a brother to Shivan. Shivan is in love with Chellan's younger sister and their relationship has the full approval and blessing of Chellan and his mother. Chellan has a younger brother, Bhadran who is very short tempered and violent. He keeps picking fights with Chellan for the most silly reasons, but Shivan ends up being a successful mediator between them for the most part. The apple of Shivan's eye is his younger sister, Chandri, whom he treats with the greatest of love and care. Life in this close-knit community seems calm and content, until Chandri shocks everyone with the news of her premarital pregnancy. When she is cornered by Shivan to reveal the identity of her lover, Chandri becomes panicked and falsely accuses Chellan of being the father of her unborn child. Shattered by this news, Shivan becomes enraged and ends up killing Chellan in a fit of blind fury. The entire community is shocked as Shivan is arrested by the police and sentenced to life imprisonment. Chellan's younger brother, Bhadran is consumed by hatred and a thirst for revenge. He decides to take it out on Chandri, who for once does not have Shivan to protect her. What will Bhadran do to Chandri to quench his thirst for revenge? Will circumstance ever allow for peace, unity and happiness to return to the community?
