Where did you watch this movie?

Subtle and ebullient, this upbeat love story revolves around the trials and triumphs in the life of Mumbai-based businessman Aditya Kashyap, who is heartbroken after the death of his father, combined with the ignominy of being unceremoniously dumped by his gorgeous girlfriend. At a crossroads in life, he finds himself stepping into a BEST bus, travelling to Chatrapati Shivaji Train Terminus, and boarding a train. This is where he meets Geet Kaur Dhillon, who is returning home to Bhatinda, and who pays for his ticket. At Bar Nagar, he decides to leave, but she follows him, missing her train. They manage to get a ride to Ratlam, miss the train again, but eventually make it to Bhatinda. Once there, he gets to meet her family; her pretty sister, Roop; as well as her to-be betrothed, Manjeet Singh Mann. Before the engagement becomes final, she manages to convince her family that she wants to marry Aditya, and they welcome him with open arms. Before he can figure out head or tail of the situation, he finds himself going along as Geet elopes with him - not to get married - but to re-locate to Manali - where her true love, Anshuman, is waiting, and whom she hopes to marry. How will Aditya respond to this whirlwind sequence of events? How will their respective futures unfold?

Errors in Geography
Shahid leaves Mumbai in Punjab Mail from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). Punjab Mail takes the central route and reaches Delhi via Itarsi, Bhopal. But in the movie, the train takes the Western route via Ratlam, Kota.

Factual Mistake
The train 2137 Punjab Mail runs between Mumbai and Firozpur (Punjab), not between Mumbai-Delhi as shown in movie.

Continuity
At the station when Geet buys a water bottle, she takes a very small sip in the beginning. However, after a chat with the shop-owner, a considerably larger amount of water is missing from the bottle.

Continuity
Right before the scene when Geet and Aditya hitch a ride on the truck, Aditya is carrying the backpack when he signals to the truck. In the next shot, however, Geet is holding the backpack

Continuity
In the song Mauja Hi Mauja, Kareena'shirt strap disappears in one shot, and is seen throughout the rest of the song.

Continuity
The security person on the railway station on the bridge when Shahid run to catch the taxi is the same who was at the reception of the hotel.
Trivia:
Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor play lovers in the film and were also dating in real life, but broke up during the making of the movie.

Writer/director Imtiaz Ali had Kareena Kapoor as his first choice for the female lead. Even though he wasn't particularly a fan of hers and hadn't seen her in many movies, he knew she would be able to look natural without makeup, be hyper, talkative and interesting but not irritating.

Writer/director Imtiaz Ali previously viewed Shahid Kapoor as a "forgettable actor", but upon meeting him realized that he had "gone through a lot in life and that maturity had never been brought out" and that as such he was perfect for the part of a "young, mature, quiet guy."
