Fast-paced and fiery, this socially relevant crime drama revolves around Abha Mathur, IPS (Priyanka Chopra), an idealistic and daring female police officer.
Babloo Pandey (Manav Kaul), the MLA of Bankipur district and his brother Dabloo Pandey (Ninad Kamat) reign over a criminal empire in their town of Lakhisarai. They are grabbing land for a power plant whose financiers are backing their party politically. The corrupt home minister, Ramakant Chowdhary (Kiran Karmarkar) appoints Abha as the SP expecting her to be soft towards the criminals and supportive to him, as he is her mentor as well as the home minister.
His decision turns out to be a tremendous miscalculation, as she goes all out against the criminal brothers. Her subordinates get encouraged by her strict action against corruption and slowly begin to decimate the Pandey brothers' tyrannical reign in the area. As the brothers feel cornered, Dabloo, kidnaps an orphaned teenage girl Sunita (Vega Tamotia), who is fighting a valiant battle along with her her younger brother Nagesh (Ayush Mahesh Khedekar) to keep ownership of their land. Dabloo rapes and kills the girl. He hangs her dead body from a tree, and tries to pass it off as suicide, just as her father had committed suicide unable to bear the harassment from the Pandey brothers.
This event sparks a furor in the village and complete chaos breaks loose, with many corrupt people being executed Abha tries her best to restore law and order, but to little avail. Nagesh kills Dabloo to avenge his sister's brutal killing. Babloo and his goons try to hunt Nagesh down. Can Abha and Nagesh find a way to bring Babloo Pandey and thereby end the brothers's reign of corruption, terror and anarchy.
