Where did you watch this movie?

Embedded with quirky comedy and deep emotion, this family-oriented drama traces the twists and turns in the life of Jack Sadelstein, a successful advertising executive in Los Angeles with a beautiful wife and kids, who seemingly leads the perfect life. There is only one event he dreads each year: the Thanksgiving visit of his identical twin sister Jill. Jill's neediness and passive-aggressiveness is maddening to Jack, turning his normally tranquil life upside down. Will the twins succeed in sorting out their issues and finally realise that under all the conflict, they love each other dearly?

Revealing Mistakes
When Jack watches Al Pacino on YouTube, the player shows "240p", but the video is in high definition.

Revealing Mistakes
The rear view mirrors have been removed from Jack's Escalade and Felipe's truck.

Factual Mistake
'The Allure of the Seas' never cruises in Europe. It only takes cruisers to the eastern and western Caribbean.

Errors in Geography
The port where the cruise ship departs from for the holiday week is actually Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale and not in Spain.

Character Error
Jack says that the commercial is 32 seconds long. The commercial is actually 48 seconds long.

Character Error
The time difference between Miami and Portugal is always more than 5 Hours and can't be 4 as stated by Jack.

Character Error
When Jill goes to the picnic with Felipe the grandma is knocked out. The family rushes around her and one says give her Jalapenos. The peppers they give her are Cayenne peppers not Jalapenos.
Trivia:
The official Columbia/Sony Pictures press materials for this movie refer to the Jack and Jill characters as "identical twins." In fact, identical twins can only be of the same sex (because they are genetically *identical*). There are a handful of cases of mono-zygotic twins of opposite sex, where one embryo lost the Y chromosome during embryogenesis, resulting in a female with Turner Syndrome.

Adam Sandler accidentally exposed his genitalia when he played Jill due to wearing a mini-skirt.

This movie was originally rated PG by the MPAA for "crude and sexual humor, language, comic violence and brief smoking" but was amended to "crude material including suggestive references, language and comic violence."

Dana Carvey's first theatrical movie appearance since The Master of Disguise (2002).

During the LA Lakers game, Johnny Depp is wearing a Justin Bieber T-shirt as a joke.

This movie has the ignominious distinction of 'winning' in every category at the 32nd Razzie Awards (Worst Picture, Worst Director (Dennis Dugan), Worst Actor (Adam Sandler as Jack), Worst Actress (Adam Sandler as Jill), Worst Supporting Actor (Al Pacino), Worst Supporting Actress (David Spade as Monica), Worst Screen Couple (Adam Sandler and either Katie Holmes, Al Pacino or Adam Sandler), Worst Prequel, Remake, Ripoff or Sequel (Remake/Ripoff of Glen or Glenda (1953)), Worst Screenplay and Worst Screen Ensemble), becoming the first movie in history to do so. It also now holds the record for most Razzie Award "wins" by one film in a single year, with ten awards including Worst Picture of 2011. The record was previously held by the Lindsay Lohan thriller I Know Who Killed Me (2007), with eight awards including Worst Picture of 2007.

Al Pacino, appearing as a fictionalized version of himself, is shown playing Richard III on stage. In reality, Pacino directed and starred in a documentary about the making of a production of Richard III entitled 'Looking for Richard'.

When Al Pacino is "speaking" in French or Spanish, it is just gibberish (as the native speakers attest - the Frenchman responds "I don't understand").

In addition to setting several other records at the Razzie Awards, it also became only the second film in the history of the Razzie Awards to "sweep" all the top five categories. Including, Worst Picture, Worst Actor - Adam Sandler (as Jack), Worst Actress - Adam Sandler (as Jill), Worst Director - Dennis Dugan and Worst Screenplay by Steve Koren and Adam Sandler, story by Ben Zook. Essentially making it the Razzie equivalent of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), which was the second film to win the "Oscar Grand Slam" (Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Director and Screenplay).
