Embedded with deep emotion and insight, this offbeat romantic drama delves into the fluctuating fortunes in the life of Gauri (Shobhana), a beautiful young woman. In a cruel twist of fate, the bus she is travelling in becomes involved in a massive accident. Tragically, all her fellow passengers died, but Gauri remains the sole survivor. However, the trauma leaves with retrograde amnesia and she has no memory of her past identity. Admitted to a private nursing home, where she is diagnosed as suffering from ‘hysteric amnesia’, she falls for the doctor’s son Sarat (Jayaram). Twist in the tale comes when Narendran (Gopi) arrives from the USA and, to the lovers’ consternation, claims to be her husband. Will Gauri's memory return allowing her to recognise her husband, or will the change in her life become permanent?
