After being jilted by her long-time boyfriend, Kolkata-based Afia Kidwai distrusts men but wants to become a mother through a sperm-donor. She approaches her friend, Megha, to try and convince her brother, Siddharth, but Megha surprisingly refuses, leaving Afia to rely on a fertility clinic to sire a child through an unknown male(s). Delhi-based Megha was amongst the Hindu Pandits who were forced to flee from Kashmir, and since then has hated Muslims. With her father deceased and her mother in a wheelchair, she now travels to Srinagar to sell their property which is being looked after her childhood friend, Rubina, and her family. Upon arrival, she is given a warm welcome by Rubina, who, at one time, had wanted her to marry her brother, Farooq, but Megha cold-shoulders their friendly overtures and wants to get this over with quickly - especially when she finds out that Farooq had inducted himself as a Mujhaideen. Bangalore-based Abhimanyu recalls the trauma from the abuse meted out to him by his stepfather and refuses to provide sperm to Afia as well as be intimate with his girlfriend, Natasha, and blames his mother for his plight. And Mumbai-based executive, Jay Gowda, will find out the implications of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code when the Police apprehend him being intimate in a vehicle with a male named Omar.
