Trivia:
This was the first Indian film to feature a soundtrack performed by a full fledged symphony orchestra. It was performed by Laslo Kovaks of Budapest Symphonic Orchestra, Hungary.

The song "Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram" plays in the background of the film's title sequence. It's a Hindu devotional song but it is sung like a Mosque prayer call.

Shah Rukh Khan received only a wrist watch as his payment for the film.

Shah Rukh Khan's character was named Amjad Khan as a tribute to Kamal Haasan's relationship with actor Amjad Khan.
