Three sixth-graders - Max, Lucas, and Thor are dealing with their usual pre-teen dilemmas. Max has a crush on his classmate Brixlee and wants to kiss her, Lucas is dealing with his parent's divorce and the constant bullying prevents Thor from pursuing his interest in singing. In an attempt to sneak on his neighbor Hannah, Max destroys his drone and accidentally comes in possession of illegal drugs. Max and his friends are on the run from Hannah and her friend who exchange the drone for the drugs. Max gets into trouble with his parents and this causes a major rift in his friendship with Lucas and Thor. The three boys struggle to find a way back home and make it in time to attend the popular school party.
