Trivia:
The film is a remake of the Hindi movie Kabzaa (1988).

Aamir Khan performed his own stunt in a scene where he had to run toward an oncoming train. It wasn't until he saw the scene in the editing room that he realized how close he had come to actually being hit by the train.

Aamir Khan didn't wash his face for 8 days in order to have the appropriate look for a scene.

The song "Aati Kya Khandala" was sung by Aamir Khan himself and became very popular.
