Ghillie (2004)

This action-oriented romantic drama revolves around Velu, a kabbadi player who is the son of Assistant Commissioner of Police Sivasubramanian. Sivasubramanian. His strict father is not fond of his son's carelessness and playful attitude, and ends up constantly chiding him for his lack of interest in studies and his love for kabaddi.

His mother, on the other hand, dotes on him and his younger sister Bhuvana. An inquisitive school girl, Bhuvana constantly gets Velu into trouble with their father, but nevertheless still adores him.

In Madurai, there is a local ruthless criminal, Muthupandi, who decides to marry his niece Dhanalakshmi, and begins his quest by eliminating everyone who opposes their union, starting with both her brothers. Dhanalakshmi’s father, horrified by Muthupandi’s acts, asks her to run away from the village and lead a peaceful life at her uncle’s place in the Unites States, by giving her the necessary certificates and money.
