Evocative and provocative, this offbeat family drama probes into the challenges in the life of Sylvie, a woman who runs a modest, well-Brothel that her parents founded decades before. For Sylvie, sex work has always been the family trade, as her mother Monique (Ingrid De Vos) still plies her trade alongside the younger prostitutes at their brothel.
However, Sylvie wishes to shield her daughter Eline (Esra Vandenbussche), a cherubic kindergartener from the truth about her profession. Sylvie enforces a strict distance between their conventionally appointed suburban home and her workplace, emphatically banning her Eline from ever entering the latter. When Eline strays across the threshold one day, a worst-case scenario comes to pass, as she is briefly abducted and severely molested by an unidentified john. The ensuing psychological impasse of trauma and guilt between parent and child is devastatingly played out while Sylvie and Dirk (Wim Wallaert), a closely invested family friend, try to identify and avenge the culprit. Will they succeed in their mission?
