This thrilling romantic drama sparks off with the king marrying a beautiful woman. However, the woman is a greedy fraudster who has married him for the sake of his wealth. After a while, she gets bored and returns to her lover.
Later, she becomes pregnant and gives birth to a boy. The woman secretly takes care of the boy until one day the king comes to know about it. In a fit of fury, the King throws the child into the fire. Grief stricken and inconsolable, the mother commits suicide by hanging herself in front of the bungalow. When he hears news of her death, the king realises his mistake and also commit suicide by falling from the fort.
When the property is purchased by new owners, they begin to face paranormal activities and many of them are also found mysteriously murdered. When a Buddhist monk learns of the dark spirits haunting the area, he goes into meditation and imprisons the ghost into a magical box, but the effort drains him completely and he falls unconscious. His assistants warn the new owners that the dark force remains present within the property.
In present-day Chennai, Kajal (Shanaya), a beautiful young woman forces reunion party for her friends from school. She narrates to them the story of her classmate Kumar, who was expelled from school because of her. Repentant, Kajal reveals that she had presented a Valentine's Day card to Kumar, who had politely rejected her. However, her proposal had been misunderstood by a teacher who had witnessed their interaction, and consequently Kumar was expelled.
Parallelly, Kumar's uncle Mohan (Karunas) finds himself losing his beloved truck due to his inability to pay his dues on time to the financier (Saurabh Shukla) who is also Kajal's father. As Mohan and Kumar break into the financier's house out of anger (not knowing that it is Kajal's house). Kajal catches Kumar, acts polite and hands him over to the police without realizing that he is her childhood crush.
The next day, Kumar's father (Anandaraj) standing in front of the police station calls Kajal's father and threatens him to withdraw the case filed on Kumar. Later, Kajal gets Kumar's home address and finally recognises Kumar. In the meantime, Kumar and Mohan plan to kidnap Kajal to teach her a lesson. So, they kidnap her and Kajal reveals herself to Kumar with a kiss and they both fall in love.
When Kajal's father tries to arrange her marriage with someone else, Kumar stops him by force, causing her father to hire a killer to murder Kumar. The hired killer, Mani lures Kumar into the haunted house. Amidst chaos, the magical box is opened, releasing the dark spirits. The monk traps one, but the other enters Kajal's body. Can the monk and Kumar join hands to save Kajal and defeat the forces of darkness?
