Dhananjay Atre began facing the camera through still modeling for the Kingfisher Derby after college. His movie work started with a small role in the Kannada film 'Budhivantha' in the year 2007, followed by character roles in films such as 'Bombaat', 'Yodha', 'Devru' and 'Veerappan's Attahasa'. He also acted in Kannada tele-serials such as 'Parineeta' & 'Munjaavu' in 2009-10. He played the male lead In the serial 'Chitralekha' 2011-12, for close to 300 episodes. Dhananjay Atre is currently involved in the production of the Kannada Feature Film KARSHANAM, a suspense thriller, in which he has played the lead. It is expected to release in the later part of 2018.
