Dev is an Indian Actor, Producer, singer, and film writer. He made his debut in the movie Agnishapath in 2016. He is involved in politics and also owns a production house named 'Dev Entertainment Ventures Pvt. Ltd.' Though his first movie was a commercial flop, he received his breakthrough after the movie 'I Love You' directed by Ravi Kinnagi which was critically unsuccessful but commercially successful.
Dev didn't work for the following 14months and he made his comeback with 'Premer Kahini' and his other breakthrough movie 'Challenge'.
He received Anandalok Awards for Best Actor and Best Action Hero for his performance in the film 'Challenge'. His films include - Le Chakka Dui Prithibi, Paglu, Challenge 2, Khoka 420, Rangbaaz and Chander Pahar. He won Mahanayak Samman from the Government of West Bengal and for his work as a politician.
Dev has also been a mentor for the reality show Dance Bangla Dance, replacing Mithun Chakraborty. He is now one of the honorable Member of Parliament of India from the Ghatal constituency, as a candidate for the party All India Trinamool Congress.
