Based in a village in Andhra Pradesh, Marthandi Subhas Chandra Bose lives an impoverished lifestyle with his parents and sister, Gayetri. His efforts to find employment are frustrated as he cannot afford to bribe his prospective employer while dreaming of becoming a police officer. When village elder, Balram, asks him to travel to Hyderabad to meet the MLA, he does so along with Gayetri and some friends - but ends up in a violent clash - while Gayetri is sexually molested by a police inspector and the MLA himself. When Bose rescues her, the MLA shoots him, misses, hits Gayetri instead and she loses her voice. Silent, brooding and embittered he withdraws into himself, gets into frequent fights to save oppressed persons, and is regarded as a trouble-maker. After he rescues S.P. Arvind Kumar and his family, he is encouraged to become a constable, and he does so. His first posting is in Gajawaka near Vizag which is under the command of Circle Inspector Baapji. It is here Bose will find his life endangered by not only an enraged MLA, but also a gangster, Durga Chintamani, and must also face off against senior police officers.
