The Gardner family relocate after inheriting a rural family estate located near Arkham, Massachusetts. Struggling artist and patriarch Nathan tries his hand at gardening but fails at it until a small meteorite crashes into the yard and affects the local water supply. The crop becomes bountiful but the alien presence soon begins to affect the Gardner family.
