Brahmachari (1968)

Ramakrishna (ANR) is a B.A.student and a staunch devotee of Lord Hanuman. He doesn’t like women and is celibate. Jogulu (Chalam) is his classmate who gives useless advice to his friend. Jogulu’s girlfriend Mallika (Ramaprabha) and her roommate Vasantha (Jayalalitha) also study in Ramakrishna's class.

In fact, Vasantha loves Ramakrishna and she challenges that she would get married to him at any cost. Ramakrishna gets troubled a lot with the sweet advances of Vasantha. Ramakrishna’s father Parandhamayya (Nagabhushanam) is a very strict gentleman. His elder son (Prabhakara Reddy) gets married and stays in another town. Parandhamayya plans to get his younger son Ramakrishna married as soon as his studies get completed.

Ramakrishna doesn’t agree with his father's decision and his innocent mother (Suryakantham) gets trapped in between her determined son and strict husband. While this confrontation is going on, one day Vasantha arrives at their house with a suitcase. She even has a baby boy with her. Vasantha tells everyone there that she is married to Ramakrishna and the baby boy is their son.

Ramakrishna vehemently denies her claim and when Parandhamayya gets the medical tests done, the blood group of the boy and Ramakrishna match. Meanwhile, the elder son arrives in the house and gets shocked to see Vasantha there . He argues with her and even plans to kill the baby boy but the attempt is thwarted by Ramakrishna.

Vasantha tells the real story to Parandhamayya that his elder son loved her sister( Sukanya) and cheated her. Because of it her sister gives birth to this baby boy and tells the entire story to Vasantha on her death bed. Vasantha decides to teach a lesson to the cheater and plays this drama. Ramakrishna realizes the good nature of Vasantha and falls in love with her. The film ends on a happy note with Ramakrishna and Vasantha tying the knot.
