Dhaanu is heavily buried in his debts, as he returns to his village and decides to sell off his donkey for a good price so he can stay safe for a while. He is prevented from doing so by his son who has formed a deep attachment towards the animal. The trio set off on a journey across the lands of Rajasthan, where the absent father and son repair their strained relationship with each other.
