Bandodu Gundamma (1980)

Infused with humour, this socially relevant drama traces the twists and turns in the life of Anjaneyulu, a naive and childish man, who loves to eat. His best friends are a group of young boys, who help him and also advise him, often in ways that lead him into deeper trouble.

Based on the guidance of his friends, Anjaneyulu begins interacting with Gundamma, a beautiful young woman with a kind heart. Over a period of time, they fall in love and decide to get married, but first, Anjaneyulu needs to find a suitable bridegroom and the money to conduct his sister's wedding.

In the process, they travel to the city, where they meet several challenges and a sophisticated, city-bred man with a remarkable resemblance to Anjaneyulu. In order to resolve their issues, they decide to switch places. What will the future hold in store for the both of them?
