Bandi Balaka (1981)

Mr Bose's wife Rama is ill and needs a blood transfusion, according to Dr Roy the family physician. Bubu, the couple's young son misses his mother's love and care and often misbehaves with the caregivers who have been employed to look after him in his mother's absence.

Rama Bose's younger sister, Neeta comes to stay with them for a while. She has a close friend, Sahana whose elder brother Dr Bhaskar Sen and Neeta like each other. Neeta begins to help a lot in the house with taking care of Bubu and ensuring that Rama gets her medicines on time.

As Bubu continues to act out, Mr Bose loses his patience and on one occasion, he starts beating the boy furiously. Neeta stops him and protects Bubu. He becomes very emotionally attached to her.

Will Rama be able to recover from her illness? As Bubu begins thinking of Neeta as his mother, will he lose her as well?
