The Hindustan Detective Agency gets a phone call from Pritish Ganguly, the manager of the Oriental Insurance Company. The owner of the detective company, Madan Bose and his team are hired to investigate into the disappearance of a rare emerald stone, that was embedded in an ancient and invaluable idol of Lord Krishna, as it was insured for Rs. 8 lakhs.
The investigators arrive at the ancient Krishna temple of Baidurya, which is situated on an island in the middle of the Ganges. With both the police force and the detective agency investigating into the loss of the precious jewel, inmates like Nityanand Maharaj, the temple priest and Mahanta Maharaj, the revered spiritual master become chief suspects. What will the investigations reveal? Will the true culprits be identified and the invaluable idol retrieved?
