Trivia:
This movie was remade in Hindi as 'Gopi Kishan' in 1994 with Suniel Shetty..

This movie is remarkable because it weaved together approximately 4000 ft of film reel from MGR's unfinished 1977 film 'Anna Nee En Deivam' directed by C.V Sridhar, with new material, incorporated it into totally new plot, and created a whole new movie. The MGR footage includes few scenes and two songs composed by M. S. Viswanathan, with M. N. Nambiar, Sangeetha and V.S. Raghavan reprising their roles in the new film.
