Anne Frank: Parallel Stories (2019)

Oscar-winner Helen Mirren tells the story of Anne Frank's life through the pages of her diary, a story that has made the tragedy of the Holocaust known to readers all over the world and what would Anne's life have been like if had she survived Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen? This exploration is also entwined with the stories of 5 Holocaust survivors who had shared Anne's fate of deportation, suffering and were denied their childhood and adolescence, but were, fortunately, able to go on and live the life that Anne was denied.
