Set in Chennai, this romantic comedy is also an exploration of social concepts of inclusion and tolerance for other religious beliefs as well as those of ignorance and segregation.
Sheikh Babu (Akash) is an adorable youth for whom religion doesn't matter. He wants to spread compassion and care among everyone.
He comes across a Brahmin family and becomes very closely attached to the entire family, especially the grandfather who greatly admires his qualities.
In course of time and frequent interactions, the granddaughter (Preethy) finds herself attracted to his loving nature and admits that she has fallen in love with Babu.
However, Babu rejects the love because he knows that a marriage between a Muslim boy and a Brahmin girl goes against the accepted norm and will lead to trouble. But the girl is adamant. What happens then forms the rest of Anbha Azhaga.
