Jyotsna lives in the USA with her son Raja, and diabetic father. She plans to return to India to be with her childhood friend, Sharada, whose father is seriously ill, and other relatives. Sharada's husband is Shekhar. Initially, Raja is shy to interact with Sharada and her family, but soon begins to mingle with them and learns a lot about the Indian way of life, our traditions and culture.
However, the family is forced to return to the US due to the ill-health of Jyotsna's father. Although Shekhar pretends to be a loving husband and caring family man, he is actually a gangster who deals in the illegal trade of heroine and other illegal drugs. While making a drug deal in the US, Shekhar's partner, Suresh cheats and kills an American citizen. Suresh also blackmails Shekhar and threatens his life.
Shekhar also has an extramarital affair with an American woman. His only goal is to swindle Sharada out of her inheritance and then divorce her. When the young Raja unwittingly becomes an eye witness to Shekhar's crime, Shekhar tries to kill the child. Can Sharada and Jyotsna protector Raja's life and bring Shekhar to justice?
