Witty and wise, this offbeat drama depicts the trials and triumphs in the life of Nakul (Rahul), a young man's passion for a bus that takes people from his village to nearby cities and villages.
Nakul dreams of owning Munni, the bus, and driving into distant lands with 'her'. But there are other parties interested in the bus. An eccentric maths teacher (Chiranjeet) and his junior (Padmanabha Dasgupta) want the bus so that aspiring students can come to their empty school if the bus diverts its route and stops in front of the school.
Mahadeb (Biswajit Chakraborty), a poor farmer, suddenly gets the bus as compensation for the sudden death of his only son (Anirban) under its wheels and feels that his son's spirit lives on inside. Moyna (Paoli Dam), his widowed daughter-in-law, falls in love with Nakul, who is torn between his love for Munni and Moyna.
One of the two local politicians, diabolic, merciless and brutal Sabyasachi Chakraborty who owns the bus first, tries to suppress the death of the young man and then tries to use it for political mileage, by giving the bus to Mahadeb but with eyes on Moyna.
