This family-oriented romantic drama traces the twists and turns in the life of Vikram, a straightforward young man.
The Chowdhury family owns a vast tea estate. Mr Chowdhury is very happy when his son begins taking part in the activities of his estate. However, when his son falls in love with one of the labourers and wishes to marry her, he forcefully objects to the union. This results in the tragic demise of his son.
Years after, his grandson Vikram returns to the the hills, completely unaware of his familial roots. Vikram is a straightforward young man who speaks his mind. Soon he falls in love with Seema, a beautiful, local girl. Moreover, he develops a rivalry with Barendra, the corrupt manager of the Chowdhury tea estate, who is willing to go to any extent to satisfy his greed. Barendra also lusts after Seema and attempts to separate her from Vikram.
On the other hand, he tries to use Vikram to launch another workers' union so that he can cut down labor unrest, but all his plans go haywire when old Chowdhury recognizes his own blood and in the end Vikram becomes the owner of the Chowdhury estate.
