Karan is a psychiatrist with a difference. He believes in being humane in relationships. Circumstances take him on a professional trip to a reputed medical institute where he takes charge as a lecturer and a psychiatrist. As he settles down in the new place, he gradually starts feeling at home. Just as he gets used to a new routine in his life, he starts experiencing mental disturbances which intensify in its hostility with every passing day. Soon they become more terrifying than he could imagine. Doctor Anbarasu is the founder, the dean, as well as the MD of the medical institute. In him, Karan sees a father figure in the beginning but later on, his opinion about the dean becomes a suspect. Shalini is a reporter who hosts a reality show in a reputed channel. She arrives at the institute to run a cover story. The first encounter between Karan and Shalini promotes a kind of respect for Karan in Shalini. As their paths meet regularly, Karan feels he can confide in Shalini about his mental disturbances and his sudden trepidation about the dean. Curiosity kindles the reporter in Shalini and she along with Karan embark on an investigative journey to find out the true happenings at the institute. The going gets tough as hindrances come their way while they go about going in search of the truth. At one point it becomes clear to them that no one is telling the truth or rather everyone seems to be hiding the truth. Eventually when they stumble upon the truth, it turns out to be utterly shocking. At times, what we see might not be the reality after all because circumstances usually tend to make us believe what we like to believe!
